GAPS

Gender, Abuse, Prevention, and Safeguarding Research Group

Welcome

The Gender, Abuse, Prevention and Safeguarding (GAPS) team brings together researchers with expertise across a range of disciplines and methodologies to address some of the most pressing social issues facing individuals, families, and communities.

Our work explores experiences of gender-based violence, abuse, and exploitation, alongside the development of effective prevention, intervention, and safeguarding approaches. Through collaboration with practitioners, policymakers, community organisations, and people with lived experience, we aim to produce research that informs policy, improves practice, and creates meaningful social change.

We invite you to explore our research, meet our team and learn more about our current and past projects.
